DO you enjoy visiting Apex Park?
The Friends of Apex Park are on the search for more volunteers to join its group to maintain their aim of improving and promote the use of the park and to help protect and enhance it as a place of freedom, recreation, wildlife habitat and enjoyment for all sections of the local community.
The Friends group meet regularly every six to eight weeks and works closely with Sedgemoor District Council.
If you’re interested in finding out more about what the Friends do the group will be hosting their annual general meeting at Apex Park’s office (inside Apex Park’s car park) on Wednesday, May 15 at 2pm followed by the Friends meeting at 2.30pm.
A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council said: "The Friends recent events include litter picking as part of the Great British Spring Clean, hedge clearing, bulb planting and Play Day this August is always an event that need lots of support.
"To express your interest in attending the meeting, please contact Marina Turner at parks@sedgemoor.gov.uk."
