LOCAL band, Kindred, are looking forward to an exciting year - performing for festivals, gigs and looking forward to the release of their brand new EP, The Darkness.

Inspired by their roots within the stunning Somerset countryside, the six-piece band are made up of new lead singer Chelle accompanied by Heidi on backing vocals, Scottie on guitars, Helen on keyboards, Ian on bass and Clive on drums.

The Darkness will be released in late May, featuring four original songs written by lead guitarist, Scottie.

They are best described as a folk band with a subtle country twang and Kindred’s unique style is perfect for the forthcoming festival season.

You can find Kindred at on The Domer stage at 2pm on June 8 at the Home Farm Festival in Yeovil.

They will also be performing on June 15 at the Top of the Gorge Festival in Cheddar alongside their other regular gigs.

Scottie said: “2019 is already turning into a fantastic year for the band. Chelle has added a new dimension and great vocal as the new lead singer, that works really well with Heidi, and we can’t wait to showcase our new tracks.

“And after playing Godney Gathering last year, we’re absolutely thrilled Home Farm and Top Of The Gorge have invited us to play this Summer.”

Kindred will performing in Yeovil on June 8.
