DEBBI Sutton, local artist, is ageing creatively with her new collaborative exhibition at CICCIC this May.

Celebrating 60 … and not being quiet about it has given Debbi the chance to reflect; on her past work and the work of those who have influenced and surrounded her.

The 60th birthday theme follows throughout, with 60 pieces from over 40 international artists. Artists that have caught Debbi’s attention such as Arty Adams who, in response to her work, created Airplane made from cork and pins at the very tender age of seven.

Another being an old college friend and collaborator, Magnus Hammick. Magnus, who was Lisson Gallery artist during 1993 – 2009 (one of the most influential contemporary art galleries in the world), is a painter and performance artist.

Taunton’s Toad Trail, which also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the League of Friends charity, have very appropriately invited Debbi to be one of their artists.

She is delighted to be taking part in honour of their joint 60th year and has offered us no secrets as to how she will be decorating her naked toad.

Debbi’s exhibition is showing now until May 26 and is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am until 4pm (Except Fridays after 12.30pm).
