A WOMAN is appealing for information which could lead to the safe return of her beloved pet after she claimed he was stolen.

The one-year-old Chocolate Brindle Shih Tzu Boy, whose owner does not wish to give his name, went missing on Saturday, May 18, at around 3pm.

The dog was last seen on the A372 Field Road in Langport.

The owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "He was being looked after by a professional dog minder when he escaped from a field and was making his way home.

"We know people stopped to help and we urgently need to speak to anyone who was at the temporary traffic lights outside the Persimmon Homes development, Parrett Gardens."

The owner said she believes the dog was picked up and put into a car, and she hopes people can come forward with dashcam footage or other material that will help track down the beloved dog.

A 'substantial reward' is being offered to anyone who provides information which sees the return of the pet.

She added: "If you have any information which would help us identify the person who took him, please call 07934 973494.

"A substantial reward will e given for any information which leads to the recovery of our darling boy.

"Please help us."
