SOMERFEST organisers, Fuse Somerset Outdoor Arts, have been awarded funding by Arts Council England to support projects, performances and music at Somerfest.

To reflect the International Cricket Festival in Taunton this summer, there will be a local and international feel to Somerfest with performances and music representing different cultures of the World Cup teams and many more.

This international carnival on the streets will include Indian Bhangra, traditional Maypole dancing, story-telling from the West Indies, Brazilian percussion and dance, ladies clog dancing, New Orleans style street bands and more.

Somerfest is on June 15 and set in the great open spaces of central Taunton-along the river in Goodlands Garden, on Castle Green as well as through the town from 11am until 5pm. For further information visit www.somerfest.net
