A TEENAGER has been arrested and released under investigation after failing to stop for police in what was believed to be a stolen car.
Police arrested the teenager on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle in Pearce Drive in Highbridge on Sunday (May 26) after he was seen driving a car which was believed to have been stolen from the Morland Road area of the town.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
"We arrested a teenager after he failed to stop for officers on Sunday (May 26)," the spokesperson said.
"He was driving a car, believed to be stolen from the Morland Road area of Highbridge.
"Shortly afterwards the vehicle was found in nearby Pearce Drive and the driver arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle.
"Police enquiries into the incident are continuing.
"The teenager has been released under investigation."
