RESIDENTS and staff at a Burnham-on-Sea care home went on a sponsored walk to raise funds for their activities.
On Saturday (June 1) 14 staff and residents from Kingsleigh Residential Care Home walked 4.5km from the care home in Berrow Road and along Burnham's Esplanade to the yacht club.
The group enjoyed a quick ice-cream when they arrived in the town break before continuing the journey back to the home through the town centre.
A spokesman for Kingsleigh Care Home, said: "Some of the crowd wore costumes and the residents carried balloons. This was a lovely way to get the residents involved and improving their well-being.
"Previous events have meant the residents have visited Puxton Park and invested in some garden games equipment, so we are excited to see what we will do next with the residents. Thank you to all who were involved."
