THE Voices Of Exmoor choir will present their two summer concerts in Dulverton Town Hall.

The choir will take to the stage on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 at 7.30pm.

The light-hearted programme includes the stirring song Adiemus by Sir Karl Jenkins.

It will also feature popular songs such as Bridge Over Troubled Water and God Only Knows, plus excerpts from Show Boat and a medley from the James Bond films.

Voices of Exmoor is a mixed voice choir based in Dulverton, Somerset. They present two main concerts each year - one in the summer and one before Christmas.

The choir, under the musical directorship of Amanda Taylor and Joke Routledge, has over 30 members. The audience will be able to enjoy the joyful enthusiasm and informal atmosphere created by Amanda and the choir members.

A recent independent reviewer said: “Here is a choir unafraid to take risks, to present every form of choral music and even stretch their audiences – but above all, to enjoy themselves and give pleasure.”

Proceeds from the concerts are donated to charities such as Calvert Trust Exmoor, The Samaritans, The Children’s Hospice, St Margaret’s Hospice and many more.

The choir is now celebrating its 14th anniversary and has raised over £20,000 during that time for local and national charities. Tickets are £5. They are available from The Tantivy, Dulverton or by contacting Jan Ross on 01398 323818 or via email janaross2003@yahoo.co.uk
