HUNDREDS of pounds of stock have been taken off Tesco's shelves as fridges in the store were 'too warm'.
Staff at Tesco in Ben Travers Way, Burnham-on-Sea, blocked off an aisle of the store at around 12.45pm today (June 28) and threw out hundreds of pounds worth of stock including yoghurts and butter.
Temperatures have reached highs of 29 degrees in Burnham-on-Sea and temperatures today are expected to reach 25 degrees tomorrow (June 29).
A spokesman for Tesco, said: "We had to empty out the fridges of a number of our cold products as our fridges are too warm.
"We will rectify the problem as soon as possible."
