AN appeal for information has been launched to try and establish what happened to a man who suffered head injuries after coming off his bicycle.

Police said the incident took place on Stoke Road in Martock, Somerset on July 7 at around 11.50pm.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "At present, it is unclear whether the man, aged 54, was struck by a vehicle or whether he fell off his bicycle.

"The man is believed to have been in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon and was on his way home when the incident occurred.

"If you witnessed the incident or have any information that can help with this inquiry, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219155829."
