QUE sera, sera,

Whatever will be, will be,

We're going to Wem-ba-lee!

The agonising wait is over and Saints will be walking up Wembley way for the first time since 2008.

After 11 years of false dawns, disappointment and heartache Saints will take on Warrington in the Challenge Cup Final after beating Halifax 26-2.

The crop of 2019 now get the chance to walk in the footsteps of Vinty, Murph and Voll, visit the scene of the Dad's Army triumph, and the place where Bobbie bombed the Bulls.

The players have done their bit - now we have to do ours.

Let's turn back the clock to Wembley build-ups of yesteryear and paint the town with a big red vee.

We are proud of this team and club and the way it puts our town on the map.

It is time to shout that proudly, loudly and in spelling it out in glorious red and white.

So for the next four weeks we are calling on townsfolk, shopkeepers and businesses to, get the flags and bunting out, dress up your windows and show your support for the Saints.

We have teamed up with the RFL to offer prizes to the best decorated home and business ahead of the big day.

So get decorating your front windows and send your pictures to news@sthelensstar.co.uk and we will show them off.
