STAFF from a Taunton-based accountancy firm had no trouble calculating how many miles they had completed during a charity run.
A team from chartered accountancy firm AC Mole & Sons (ACM) raised more than £500 for homeless charity, Arc, when they took part in the 5k South West Tough Madder challenge at Badminton.
The four runners - George Shurley, Moss Macriner, Cristy Twine and Rebecca Bennett - faced 14 obstacles including shoulder-deep water, thick mud and a 25 ft climbing net to complete the rigorous course.
“We had a brilliant time and worked hard as a team to get everyone over the finish line,” said 22-year-old accounts assistant, Cristy.
“The course was extremely wet and muddy, but thankfully we all made it home without any injuries.”
The sponsored run is just one of a number of events being organised by ACM staff during the year to benefit the charity, with future fundraising events including a quiz night and football tournament.
