BRIDGWATER Town go into their crunch match with fellow Western League Premier title favourites Plymouth Parkway tomorrow (ko 3pm), off the back of scoring 15 goals in their last two games.

Co-manager Dave Pearse said: "In the first couple of games this season we weren’t sure it [Steve Murray and Jack Taylor playing together up front] would work, but we stuck with it and they’ve made it work.

“They’re two very different players and they combine well.

“Dave O’Hare looks a great signing, too – we wanted someone who could get 10 or 15 goals from midfield.

“It’s early days, though – we can’t get too excited yet.”

Looking ahead to the Plymouth Parkway fixture at Fairfax Park, Pearse added: “Whoever finishes above them will probably win the league, but from our games against them last season we know we have nothing to fear.

“It should be an exciting game, and hopefully we will come out on top, but the league’s not won or lost in August.

“It should be a proper game – they’ve got a Southern League quality squad, and it would be a big scalp for us.”
