KEEN photographers are being reminded that the closing date for The Friends of Apex Park photography competition is looming.
The aim of the competition is to capture the beautiful open space of Apex Park via a snapshot and to raise much-needed funds towards repair of Secret World’s resident bird aviaries.
There are three age categories and three themes which are: Under eight’s, 9-17 years and 18 years and above.
The themes will be wildlife (not including pets), flowers and seasons at Apex Park.
Winners from each age category will have their photos used in Sedgemoor District Council’s and Friends of Apex Park’s future publicity for Apex Park.
And Secret World are offering a ‘behind the scenes’ visit for the winners too and if an overall winner is chosen, their photo will be used on the cover of Secret World’s newsletter.
Entries close on October 1.
To enter the competition, visit www.friendsofapexpark.webeden.co.uk or www.secretworld.org/ for further information and to download an entry form.
You can also request an entry form by emailing parks@sedgemoor.gov.uk.
