BURNHAM-on-Sea Carnival is most definitely going ahead.
Organisers have moved to put carnivalites' minds at ease after a false rumour started circulating that this year's event had been cancelled.
The confusion was caused after a television website listed all of the area's carnivals, but inadvertently omitted the Burnham one.
Chief marshal Bradley Loveridge said: "It led to a lot of people thinking it had been cancelled.
"Nothing could be further from the truth - it's most definitely going ahead."
For the record, the procession starts at 7.30pm on Monday, November 4.
