CCS Village, Community and Carers Agents provide confidential, practical community-based solutions for people who need it in Somerset.

They work with vulnerable and isolated people, often when others don’t, won’t or can’t, and winter is a particularly busy time with people falling into fuel poverty, trips and slips, and people feeling isolation much more keenly around Christmas.

As well as giving support, they connect individuals with groups, agencies and healthcare professionals that can assist and improve their lives.

Due to growing demand, CCS also have agents who give much more specialised support in the areas of cancer, mental health, hospital-based and transport support.
