THE organisers of Burnham-on-Sea's annual fireworks display are promising a 'spectacular' show when it returns next months.

As part of the Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea Carnival weekend Burnham and Highbridge Town Council are putting on a free seafront fireworks display on the town's Esplanade for visitors to enjoy.

The Mayor Cllr Andy Brewer will announce the countdown to the display at 6.30pm on Sunday, November 3 before a range of fireworks will be fired by Skyburst - The Firework Company of Bristol alongside music.

A spokesperson for the town council, said: "Everyone is welcome to the Esplanade to view the display.

"Please be aware that, because it will form part of the safety exclusion zone, the beach at this location will be closed to the public.

"Entry to watch the display is free.

The event is funded by Burnham-on-Sea & Highbridge Town Council with support from local businesses including:

  • Northam Farm Holiday Park
  • Northam Farm Caravan sales
