For the first time ever, both adults and children can take part in Victorian themed Halloween garden trails at Hestercombe.
As always, the children are catered for with a ‘whodunit’ detective trail, where they’ll have to crack the Curious Case of Mildred Hester. Step back in time to 31st October 1860 – a guest of the family has disappeared in the gardens at Hestercombe and the Head Gardener Terrence needs your help finding her.
Simultaneously, adults will take part in the version for grown-ups, helping Inspector Dutchcroft find the culprit behind the murder of Mildred Hester. You’ll meet the suspects, uncover motives and examine alibis as you wind your way through the gardens.
Running two trails together means that children and parents can enjoy Halloween at Hestercombe together, each having to work at solving their own clues.
The trails run until November 3. To find out more visit www.hestercombe.com/halloween
