THOUSANDS of people are expected to line the streets for Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea Carnival on Monday (November 4). 

The procession is set to kick off at 7.30pm and the town will be illuminated as carnival clubs from across Somerset will parade through the town. 

Here is everything you need to know about this year's carnival: PROCESSION:

The Carnival procession starts at the traffic lights in Love Lane beside Tesco supermarket and proceeds along:

Love Lane to the Esso filling station

Manor Road

Left into Victoria Street

Through the High Street

Along Marine Drive to the dispersal point at the entrance to Burnham Holiday Village

ROAD CLOSURES:

Between 9pm November 4 to 1am on November 5 these roads will be closed. 

The Frank Foley Parkway, Burnham on Sea- from its junction with Ben Travers Way (North) in a south easterly direction to its junction with Ben Travers Way (South). A distance of 404 metres.

The B3140 Burnham Link Road - from Love Lane Roundabout in an easterly direction to its junction with Stoddens Lane. A distance of 1456 metres

Between 4pm on November 4 and 1am on November 5 these roads will be closed. 

Ben Travers Way - From Tesco’s entrance to its junction with the Frank Foley Parkway. A distance of 70 metres.

Parking restrictions

Pier Street (300+ Spaces). Adjacent to B&M Superstore. Official car park - £5 Including Programme.

Oxford Street (100+ Spaces) Opposite Lidl Supermarket. Official car park - £5 Including Programme.

Lynton Road/Marine Drive (30+ Spaces) - This car park will be restricted during the lead up to carnival for disabled parking. Donation required.

Berrow Road (70+ Spaces) Beside Swimming Pool - £5 Including Programme.

South Esplanade (100+ Spaces) On Street Car Parking.

Carnival organisers recommend motorists get a parking space early and warned there may be some delay in leaving the car parks.
