SCORES of people lined the streets of Burnham-on-Sea to honour those who gave their lives in the Second World War.
On Sunday (November 10) the Mayor of Burnham-on-Sea Cllr Andy Brewer and representatives from Burnham-on-Sea Coastguard, BARB Search and Rescue, Burnham Fire Station and Burnham Sea Cadets marched through the town centre and gathered at the Cenotaph outside Burnham-on-Sea War Memorial Hospital in Love Lane to pay tribute to the fallen.
A moving Remembrance service was led by Reverend Graham Witt and John Crosby from The British Legion in Burnham spoke to visitors about the sacrifices made in the Second World War.
Representatives from local groups including The King Alfred School and Burnham and Highbridge Town Council lay wreaths on the Cenotaph and observed a two minute silence at 11am. This was followed by Ophelia Buckton from Burnham Marching Brass Band playing The Last Post.
