SCORES of people braved the cold wintery weather to enjoy Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights switch on.
Residents cheered in Market Street on Saturday (November 16) as Mayor of Highbridge Cllr Andy Brewer switched on the town’s Christmas lights alongside Mike Murphy from Highbridge Chamber of Trade and Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge town crier Alisdair Murray.
Before the festive switch-on, visitors enjoyed a day of festive entertainment including festive craft and gift stalls, games and activities.
Children from Churchfield School Choir also performed a variety of Christmas carols for visitors and there were speeches from the Mayor and Mr Murphy ahead of the switch on.
