MOTORISTS are being urged to take care as a number of Somerset's roads have been hit by flooding today.
Numerous areas have been affected by the heavy rainfall including:
- The A303 near Yarcombe and Honiton. There is significant flooding in this area and police have an eastbound roadclosure at the split for the A30 (Upottery). Traffic is being diverted down the A30 to Chard then north on the A358. Westbound remains open.
- The A38 between Wellington and Taunton by Willowbrook nursery is flooded just passable but only on one side the road.
- The A358 at Hatch Beauchamp has reports of flooding and sensors showing delays Lipe Hill Lane and Dipford Road, Trull, which is in the process of being closed due to flooding.
- Cutts Road (East Lyng to Athelney)has been closed
- Langport Road (Muchelney to Langport) will be closed before nightfall
- Areas near Galmington Stream
- Several roads around Watchet and Williton
