TAUNTON Town will host a ‘Premier League Legends XI’ on Sunday, April 19, the club has announced.
The match – which will kick off at 2pm at the Peacocks’ Cygnet Health Care Stadium – will see a ‘Taunton Town Legends XI’ face a team of players who have featured in the top flight of English football, since its 1992 rebrand as the Premier League/Premiership.
Ex-Taunton bosses Russell Musker and Paul West are assembling their side, while the make-up of the Premier League XI is to be confirmed in due course.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for Under-18s.
These will go on sale at this Saturday’s home league fixture with Wimborne Town, from 1.30pm to 3pm (ground admission to the game is payable first.
Last April saw a match between Taunton Town Legends and Manchester United Legends, which ended 3-3 in front of a crowd of 2,151.
Former United players Keith Gillespie, Sammy McIlroy and Frank Stapleton were among those to take part.
