CCTV images have been released of a woman police would like to speak to after a number of purse and wallet thefts in Somerset.
Avon and Somerset Police said five incidents have been reported to them involving victims in Weston-super-Mare, Bristol city centre, Brislington, and Patchway, with one on the X39 bus between Saltford and Bristol.
The incidents happened in November 2018, November 2019, and January this year.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said they would urge anyone who recognises the woman to contact them
"Two of the victims were in their 20s with the others aged between 59 and 75," the spokesperson said.
"In most cases a purse or wallet was stolen and then the bank cards used to make purchases, while in one a mobile phone was taken.
"If you recognise the woman or have any other information which could help, get in touch with PC 3701 Picton or call 101, quoting reference 5220004804.
"Our advice on deterring pickpockets includes keeping purses, wallets and phones in a zipped bag or inside pocket."
If you have any information which could help police call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5220004804
You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.
No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.
