A SOMERSET fantasy author is bringing his latest fantastical tale to Burnham-on-Sea next month.

Justin Newland, from Weston-super-Mare, is currently on a tour of the county to promote his latest novel, The Coronation.

He will be giving talk in Burnham-on-Sea Library in Princess Street from 11am until 2pm on March 25 about how the secret history of the Great Enlightenment inspired his latest novel.

‘The Coronation’ is set in 1761, with Prussia at war with Russia and Austria.

The novel follows the world of Ian Fermor, a lieutenant to a Russian captain he later defies and is then stabbed by for his insubordination.

Left for dead, Fermor dreams of the Alder - a numinous eagle entity who is mysteriously linked to the Great Enlightenment.

Justin writes supernatural thrillers and secret histories in which real events and historical personages are guided and motivated by numinous forces.

His other novels are: The Genes of Isis and The Old Dragon’s Head.

He gives library talks, does book signings and appears on radio and in literary festivals. A Doctorate in Mathematics, he lives with his partner in plain sight of the Mendip Hills.
