MORE than 120 people packed into The King Alfred School Academy to enjoy an exhibition of work from current and former students.

The exhibition which was on Friday and Saturday (February 28/29) was organised by Coverless and aimed to engage with the community by celebrating the work of young artists.

The free event was sponsored by Gardiner-Whites.

Jacob Dear, co-organiser of Time to Engage, said the event was a big success and he hopes to do another exhibition in the future.

“Time to Engage went really really well,” Jacob said.

“We had about 120 people come to the exhibition over two days ranging from members of the community to councillors which was great.

“This was exactly what we wanted as people were engaging with the artwork especially the A Level photography at The King Alfred School Academy as well as Libby Smith’s work.

“With that in mind everyone at Coverless, myself included, are really happy with the outcome.

“And after speaking with Becky Dalziel from The King Alfred School she is very happy and excited to see what the future holds.

“Whether we are going to do another one of these I don’t know but that would be the great thing to do.”
