THERE is uncertainty over whether a store in Taunton town centre will ever re-open.

The BrightHouse rent-to-own business, which has an outlet in High Street, has gone into administration.

The administrators are attempting to find a buyer for all or part of the company.

People who are making monthly repayments have been told to continue paying - otherwise they risk incurring more debt and attracting a poor credit rating.

BrightHouse has been hit by huge compensation claims for selling household appliances to customers unable to make the repayments.

The company has 240 stores and employs 2,400 staff nationwide.
