ANOTHER patient has died at a Somerset hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

NHS England has confirmed in its announcement today (March 31) that a patient within the Weston Area Health NHS Trust died on March 23 after contracting the virus.

A further 367 people have died, the latest figures from NHS England show, bringing the total of reported deaths in England to 1,651.

Patients were aged between 19 and 98 years old. The majority of the patients between 19 and 91 had underlying health conditions, barring 28 people.

Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust and Yeovil District Hospital NHS Trust are not on today's list.

Musgrove Park Hospital reported the deaths of three Covid-19 patients on Saturday (March 28).

Yesterday (March 30) it was announced a total of 46 people in Somerset had contracted the virus, with a further update expected later today.
