A PUBLIC toilet block in Brean has been opened following its annual winter closure.
A Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman said today's re-opening was in respone to large numbers of day visitors.
She added: "Due to unprecedented numbers of day visitors to Brean after the easing of lockdown rules, Sedgemoor has worked with Burnham Portable Toilet Hire to get the facility opened safely to meet guidelines.
"There have been reports of unsanitary behaviour by some visitors to the area – both unpleasant and upsetting for local residents."
