THERE were three new confirmed covornavirus cases recorded in Somerset in the latest 24-hour period.
There were two in the Somerset West and Taunton district and one in Mendip.
No Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the area covered by the county council in the same period to 5pm yesterday (Thursday).
The total number of confirmed cases in the county has now risen to 798.
Of those, 67 have been in Mendip (an increase of one); 222 in Sedgemoor; 310 in Somerset West and Taunton (up two); and 199 in South Somerset.
