DETECTIVES are looking to speak to a jogger who witnessed burglars breaking into a house in broad daylight.

At about 5.30pm on Wednesday, July 1, a man was running on Dukes Ride in Crowthorne when he saw a burglar fleeing from a property and getting into a car.

The burglars managed to break in through the back garden as the ground floor window was left open and they managed to climb into the house.

Police said a jogger heard an alarm sounding from the house and would have witnessed the burglar who ran on the driveway and get away.

Officers believe this witness will have vital information and can assist in the investigation.

The male jogger is described as wearing black shorts, black top, an armband with a phone.

Investigating officer PC Clough said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43200198384.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle parked on the Dukes Ride junction with Waterloo Road around 5:30pm.
