THERE were positive Covid-19 tests in THREE of the four Somerset districts in the latest figures.

There was one new confirmed case in each of the Mendip, Sedgemoor and Somerset West and Taunton areas, with only South Somerset having no new cases.

The Public Health England figures relate to the 24 hours up to 5pm on Saturday.

It takes to 12 the total number of new cases in the county council area in three days and means there have now been 1,340 recorded cases in the county.

The district totals stand at Mendip 141; Sedgemoor 401; Somerset West and Taunton 456; South Somerset 342.

There were again no new coronavirus-related deaths reported in the county, according to NHS England.
