AN ICE cream van was pulled to safety after it became stuck on Burnham-on-Sea.
Volunteers from BARB Search and Rescue were called at 2.30pm on Monday (August 24) after the vehicle's wheels sank into the wet sand.
Trucks were then used to tow the van from its stricken spot to safety.
A spokesperson for BARB Search and Rescue, said: "The vehicle’s wheels had sunk into the soft sand near the jetty after a heavy rain storm.
"The jetty supervisor contacted Coastguards for help and several of BARB’s crew quickly pulled it free with our trucks, much to the driver’s relief."
