TWELVE Wellington residents have set to work creating a film from home after lockdown postponed their workshops.

And the trailer for the film was released last Thursday (September 17).

Action Track Performance Company and Somerset Film had planned music and filmmaking workshops in March, but the coronavirus crisis meant they had to postpone the project.

The residents decided to produce the film from home during lockdown.

The film is shot entirely on mobile phones and edited via online meetings.

It follows the Wellington community during lockdown. There is a strange creature, inspired by the Hunky Punks in the area, which adds a touch of surrealism to the piece.

The full film, accompanied by a live score, will be shown early next year.
