The Environment Agency has issued several flood warnings across Somerset as Storm Alex continues to lash the county.

People in three areas have been told that flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

The affected areas are are Doniford Stream in the Sampford Mill Farm area; River Aller; and River Brue and Glastonbury Millstream from Lovington to Highbridge, low lying properties.

A further eight areas have been told that flooding is possible and people should be prepared.

They are East Somerset Rivers; Exmoor Rivers; Lower Exe Area; Mid Bristol Avon Area; Middle Exe Area; River Chew Catchment; Upper Frome and tributaries; and West Somerset Streams.
