THE driver and passenger in this car which ended up on its roof were lucky to escape with just "minor injuries".

And rubberneck motorists who used their mobile phone to take pictures of the upturned vehicles as they drove past have been warned they are likely to be in trouble.

The crash happened on the A370 in Weston-super-Mare yesterday (Thursday, October 22).

Police called to incident involving two vehicles witnessed two drivers taking photos.

An Avon and Somerset road safety unit spokesperson said: "The occupants suffered minor injuries.

"Whilst dealing with the incident, two other drivers were seen using mobile phones to photograph the scene.

"Don't worry though, we have your registration numbers.

"Tickets will be issued in due course."

The spokesperson added: "We also appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident or those who have it on dash cam.

"Please call 101 quoting incident number 838 of yesterday's date."
