SAINTS half back Jonny Lomax had more to contend with than a badly cut leg in the defeat by Wigan - having twice copped high tackles that coach Kristian Woolf felt crossed the line.

There were a few more in a feisty 80 minutes that saw a couple of flare ups - including the one which saw former Saint Joe Greenwood handed a yellow card.

Woolf reckoned some of those challenges will be looked at for possible further punishment.

He said: "The game is a physical game and both teams really teed off on each other physically, but there were certainly some things that crossed the line and need to be looked at."

Lomax, who set up Saints' only try for Lachlan Coote, had to have running repairs on the lower leg injury that needed to be bandaged up.

"He has a really big cut there - which happened in the first half when he went down," Woolf said.

"It hindered him a little bit but I thought he went really well tonight.

"He was nice and physical in defence and when we got a little bit of opportunity he looked really threatening and that first try was outstanding from him.

"But we did not get into enough good field position - off the back of the errors we made - to get him more opportunity. If we do that then it is a different game."
