A NEW survey has been launched to get residents views on plans to regenerate two dilapidated tennis courts in Burnham-on-Sea.

In July 2019 The Crosses Penn Community Sports Trust unveiled plans to redevelop Crosses Penn Gardens in Burnham-on-Sea into two new all weather multi-use games areas with new lighting.

If the plans are approved one of the new games areas would be solely for tennis and netball the other area will be used for football and hockey.

The project, which is estimated to cost £100,000, has won the backing of Burnham and Highbridge Town Council and now the trustees are asking people to share their views on the plans.

Mike Murphy, chairman of the trustees, said: “The trustees have worked hard on the proposals despite the limitations of COVID-19 restrictions.

"The demonstration of community support for this project is an important tool in fundraising for the project, the next step in the process”
