A SECTION of a busy main road was closed this afternoon (Wednesday) due to several fallen trees presenting "an immediate hazard".
A tree surgeon has been working to make the A39 at Chilton Polden safe.
But the road will be closed again tomorrow morning (Thursday) when the tree surgeon returns at 9.30am.
This afternoon, a Travel Somerset spokesperson said: "On the A39 Chilton Polden, numerous trees have partially fallen.
"They are being held up by other trees/telegraph wires and present an immediate hazard to highway users
"This is on the #M5 to Pipers Inn section. It will be closed few hours this afternoon."
