Latest Covid deaths reported in Somerset
A TOTAL of 15 people with Covid-19 have died in Somerset in the latest 24-hour period, according to Government figures.
Of those, eight people passed away in Somerset West and Taunton, five in Mendip, and two in Sedgemoor.
There were no reported Covid-related deaths in Mendip.
The deaths from any cause are of people who had tested positive for the coronavirus within the past 28 days.
The latest deaths mean 528 people with Covid-19 have lost their lives in the county council area since the start of the pandemic.
That is made up of 129 deaths in South Somerset; 153 in Somerset West and Taunton; 121 in Sedgemoor; and 125 in Mendip.
