THERE was just one death of a person who had tested positive for Covid-19 in Somerset in the past 24 hours.
The death was recorded in the Somerset West and Taunton district, which has now had 180 Covid-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The overall death tolls in the other districts in the county are 157 in South Somerset; 139 in Sedgemoor; and 142 in Mendip.
The number of people with the coronavirus mentioned on their death certificates are different.
In South Somerset the total is 157, giving the district a death rate of 93.3 people per 100,000 of population.
In Somerset West and Taunton the total is 143 (rate of 92.2 per 100,000).
In Sedgemoor the total is 141 (rate of 114.5 per 100,000).
And in Mendip the total is 130 (rate of 112.5 per 100,000).
