BURNHAM-ON-SEA darts star Gary Anderson will face his conqueror in the 2021 World Championship final on the opening night of this year’s Premier League Darts tournament.
Earlier this year the PDC confirmed that the Premier League’s traditional 17-night roadshow would be pushed back to Easter, rather than its usual February date, and now we know that it will start - behind closed doors due to Covid-19 restrictions - in Milton Keynes on Monday, April 5.
The competition’s first nine nights will take place without a crowd at the Marshall Arena, with the PDC hopeful of confirming the final eight nights in the coming weeks.
April 5 sees Anderson take on Gerwyn Price, who defeated the Burnham contender 7-3 at Alexandra Palace back in January.

Anderson will then face the other eight players in the round robin phase, with games to be best of 12 legs (i.e. first to seven), and the participants aiming to avoid elimination and reach the play-offs.
After facing Price, Anderson will take on Jose de Sousa (Tuesday, April 6), Peter Wright (Wednesday, April 7), Glen Durrant (Thursday, April 8), Jonny Clayton (Friday, April 9), Rob Cross (Monday, April 19), Michael van Gerwen (Tuesday, April 20), Dimitri Van den Bergh (Wednesday, April 21) and Nathan Aspinall (Thursday, April 22).
