A MOTORIST who failed to give police the details of the driver of a vehicle has received a bill for £1,346 by the court.

Stephen Michael Saunders, 23, of Reeds Drive, Woolavington, was found guilty after denying the charge relating to an incident in Portishead on April 29 last year.

Saunders was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66, along with £620 costs.

A GLASTONBURY man admitted shoplifting in a London branch of Sainsbury's when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.

Mohammed Ouanssaidi, 37, who gave his address as Caravan, Glastonbury, pleaded guilty to stealing food and wine valued at £15.60 from the supermarket in New Bridge Street on New Year's Day.

He was conditionally discharged and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

Ouanssaidi was fined a further £40 for failing to surrender to bail.

A WELLINGTON woman has been banned from driving for three years for drink driving.

Kayleigh Cremins, 33, of Gamlin Close, denied the charge relating to when she was stopped in Bridgwater on September 26 last year.

But magistrates decided the case was proved and slapped a 36-month ban on Cremins.

She was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £620 costs.
