POLICE say they seized a quantity of controlled drugs during an operation in Bridgwater yesterday (Friday).

Officer with a warrant descended on a property on the Sydenham estate.

A spokesperson for police in Sedgemoor said: "Officers carried out a warrant on the Sydenham Estate in Bridgwater and a quantity of controlled drugs was recovered.

"The warrant involved officers from the Bridgwater Neighbourhood Team.

"Our aim is to rid our communities of the corrosive impact of drug dealing."
