A PERSON has died after a serious crash on the M5 this morning (June 26).
The single-vehicle collision happened between junction 24 (Bridgwater) and junction 25 (Taunton) around 4am.
And the road is expected to remain closed until early afternoon.

The passenger of the black Audi sadly died at the scene of the incident.
The driver of the Audi was arrested at the scene, but has been taken to hospital with injuries.
These are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"The road is currently closed while collision investigators examine the scene and pending recovery of the vehicle," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.
"It's not currently expected to reopen before midday.
"Anyone who was travelling along that stretch of the motorway who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage which could help the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5221142767."
Highways England has said they are working hard to re-open the road as soon as they can.
Highways England’s duty operations manager James Duffield said: “We are working hard with the emergency services to reopen the southbound M5 as soon as it is safe to do so.
"We are expecting the closure could remain in place for several hours and advise anyone planning to use the M5 today to plan their journeys and allow additional time.”
A fully signed diversion route is in place following the solid diamond symbol via the A38.
James added: “We would like to thank drivers for their patience while our traffic officers work to release trapped traffic. We ask that drivers remain with their vehicles and await instructions from our traffic officers until we are able to safely turn vehicles around to exit at junction 24.”
