TWO people, a dog and cat were rescued from a fire at a property in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Burnham on Sea and Bridgwater were sent to the scene, in the Burnham and Highbridge area, at just after 5am today (Sunday).
"On arrival, crews confirmed smoke and flames issuing," said a Devon andd Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Fire crews rescued two occupants from the property who have suffered from smoke inhalation and are in the hands of the paramedics.
"Crews also rescued a dog and a cat from the property."
The property suffered 15% fire damage and 40% smoke damage, they added.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
