THE winners of this year's Christmas lights competition in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge have been announced.
After judging the competition in both towns, Burnham and Highbridge Town Council has today announced the winners.
The winners have been notified by email.
Details of a presentation to award this year's prizes will be released in the new year due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions.
Nick Gardner of Trinity Close won in Burnham-on-Sea for his spectacular effort and will be awarded a £25 voucher for use at the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre.
Joshua Male of Barrie Way will be awarded the runner-up prize - a £10 voucher for use at the same venue.
Darren Bird won in neighbouring Highbridge with his festive display, which featured plenty of wall lights and ornaments.
Alison Withers of Worston Road was named as the runner-up.
They will receive the same prizes as the Burnham winner and runner-up.
Councillor Dawn Carey, one of the judges, said: "Residents and businesses of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge have kept community spirits high by creating fabulous displays for everyone to enjoy.
"We are very grateful to all those who have designed the most amazing festive displays, thank you for brightening up our towns."
The town council also organised a Christmas window competition for small businesses and shop fronts, which was judged by the Chamber of Trade.
A £25 winner's voucher for use at the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre will be awarded to Material Needs of High Street, Burnham-on-Sea.
A £10 voucher for the theatre will be awarded to the runner-up, Dusicake of Oxford Street, Burnham-on-Sea.
