BRENT Knoll RSPCA Animal Rescue Centre is hosting an open cattery weekend to encourage residents to adopt the "not so popular" cats.

The event will take place at the centre on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, from 11am until 3pm.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the centre said: "We have an absolutely adorable bunch of felines looking for loving homes that are just not getting the attention we had hoped they would. All have well managed medical conditions but which are likely why they are not so popular.

"If you have a home that doesn't already have a cat and are thinking of one of these guys then please pop in and see them and us!

"Most can live with children as they are super confident and friendly.

"Cats available to meet at the weekend are: Stan, Percy, Sinbad, Felix, Florence and Pinot & Grigio!"

A pop-up shop will be open at the same time in the grounds of the animal centre, with lots of bargains available and free entry.
