Burnham-on-Sea scouts, who were lucky enough to attend the World Jamboree in Korea, returned to one of their local sponsors to tell the story of their momentous trip.

Rory Kerton and Iona Davies managed to secure a spot at the 25th annual World Scout Jamboree held in the summer of 2023, which saw over 4,500 scouts and guides from across the UK make the trip.

After their selection, the pair initiated fundraising activities, one of which included approaching the Burnham-on-Sea Moose group, lodge 123, for support.

Both scouts received a donation of £100 each to their respective targets during the Moose presentation evening in March.

As a gesture of their gratitude, Mr Kerton and Ms Davies delivered a stirring talk at the Moose group meeting at Berrow village hall last Thursday.

Their experience was brought to life through projected videos and a range of souvenirs passed around the hall.

The President of the Burnham-on-Sea Moose, Mr Alan Flower, ended the session with these words of appreciation.

Mr Flower said: "Well, thanks to you both for your entertaining presentation of your trip."

The evening concluded with enthusiastic applause by an entertained audience.
