BURNHAM-ON-SEA and Highbridge Town Council is seeking out 'outstanding' young people in the area to be shortlisted for the 2024 Celebration of Youth Awards.
The Leadership Award will go to a young person/group who have shown their leadership skills, styles and qualities in improving things for others.
The Helping Others Award to a young person/group who have made an impact in helping the lives of other young people, or who give up their time to look after someone that they know who has a condition such as a disability, illness or mental health condition, and takes on big jobs at a young age.

Nominations must be submitted either by email to: service@burnham-highbridge-tc.gov.uk or by post/ hand delivered to: Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council, The Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 1LE.
The closing date for nominations is 5pm Monday 26th February 2024.
For each category there will be an award for under 11’s, an award for 11-18’s, and a group award.
The criteria for the awards is as follows:
- Young people nominated must live or go to school in Burnham on Sea or Highbridge
- Nominees must be aged under 11 years, or be aged 11-18 years
A spokesperson for Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council said: "We need your help! Do you know a young person or persons that deserve recognition for their hard work over the last year?
"Someone that always goes above and beyond?
"Someone or a group who are compassionate towards others and excellent role models?"
